Fishing Hot Spots Map Lake of Egypt

Lake of Egypt is a privately owned lake owned by Southern Illinois Power Cooperative of Marion, Illinois. Recreational boating is allowed, but each boat must display an official boat permit. These permits are available by the day or by year and can be purchased at any of the marinas. Lake of Egypt is approximately 2,300 acres with a maximum depth of about 45 feet and an average depth of 18 feet. Featured Species: Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, White Crappie, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, White Bass and Walleye. Over 85 fishing points of interest, including marked fishing areas and boat accesses.
